Maggie Kiefer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and has a strong foundation in behavioral science, statistical analysis, and research methodology. She previously served as a teaching assistant for both Statistics and Research Methods in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she nurtured her love for inquiry and evidence-based practice.
Maggie’s academic journey led her to work on research teams supporting initiatives for both the Department of Defense and the State of Florida, contributing to studies focused on human factors research. Before returning to the mental health field, Maggie spent several years as a technical project manager in the software industry. Ultimately, a deep calling to help others and her own personal experience in the healing power of radical self acceptance brought her back to this space.
At the core of Maggie’s approach is a belief that nature, curiosity, kindness, boundaries are essential to human flourishing. Outside of work, you’ll often find her walking in the woods with her partner and their two dogs, growing aloe plants and succulents, or curled up with her cat watching Bravo. She’s also an avid stargazer with a very amateur passion for astrophotography—capturing full moons through her telescope—and devours audiobooks on quantum physics and the origins of intelligent life.
Maggie brings a unique blend of scientific insight, lived experience, and heartfelt presence to the patients and staff she supports here at Transcend.
